Hello FP Gamers
We are aware of the discrepancy on the random name wheel during the closing ceremonies at Fragapalooza this year. Once we were made aware, we did our best during the prize giveaways at the event to try to rectify the issue, but the actual technical error required more investigation than time allowed us.. A few participants came to me personally and notified me, and I promised we would investigate and find out what happened.
After our investigation and some discussion, we discovered that due to a bug in the code related to seat transfers, about 4% of eligible participants were omitted from the draw list.
We are absolutely distraught by this incident as we know it disappointed some of our participants and we are very sorry this happened. We are taking steps to ensure this does not happen again. We are working on implementing processes to solidify confidence in random draws for future events.
We will be reaching out to those that were affected and share more details of the incident as well as options for rectifying their exclusion from the draw.
